Years ago, while knocking doors as a young sales rep, I noticed how limiting beliefs seemed to pop up at the worst times. I’d be right about to knock on a door when suddenly my brain would whisper: “You’re going to blow this.” But here’s the truth: You are not your thoughts. Just because a negative thought crosses your mind doesn’t mean you have to accept it.
That’s when I discovered this powerful four-word mantra:
“I Reject That Thought.”

How It Works
Whenever a limiting belief sneaks in — whether it’s self-doubt, fear, or negativity — say those four words with emotion:
- Pause — Notice the thought.
- Reject It — Say: “I reject that thought!” with conviction.
- Replace It — Immediately focus on what you do want to believe.
For example:
❌ “I’m terrible at recruiting.” → “I reject that thought!” → ✅ “I’m constantly improving my ability to attract top talent.”
This simple yet powerful method has transformed my mindset — and it’s been a game changer for my family too. I’ve even taught it to my kids to help them build mental resilience.
